Our project proposes a metaphor for navigating, organising and finding data in the OS. The OS becomes the "garden of your life stories", in which you cultivate trees as the stories of your life and our window towards the garden, becomes our main interface for interacting with the system.
The system is divided into 2D workspace representing the window view towars the garden and a 3D navigation space.
At the bottom of the workspace, a dynamic time bar that allows us to quickly focus on selected passages in time.
The project proposes a number of relevant conceptual design ideas, such as contextual side panels, the dynamic time navigation and the universal plus, which have been implemented in the ITSME OS beta release.
